Swim Lessons 2019


  • All group lessons will be taught Monday - Thursday.
  • Groups are limited to 3 students to maximize the time the instructor can spend with the children. 
  • Each session is one-half hour per day.
  • Morning sessions are one week only (4 classes)
  • Evening sessions are two weeks (2 days per week for a total of 4 classes).
  • Please be sure to check the schedule closely to make sure you sign up for the appropriate session.


  • Beginner: Students will work on water adjustment in a fun setting with an emphasis on blowing bubbles, going underwater, floating and kicking.
  • Intermediate: Students must be able to float unassisted on their tummy to sign up for this level. This class will emphasize learning back floats, kicking, freestyle and backstroke.
  • Advanced: Students must be able to swim freestyle across the length of the pool and be able to swim backstroke half of the length to sign up for this level. This class will emphasize stroke technique, endurance, side breathing and breaststroke.

Child member (child an active member at the time of the lesson): One Week: $70.00     
Parent member (parent an active member-child is not):  One Week: $80.00

Private & Semi-Private Lessons

Private lessons are available by appointment. All private lessons are one-half hour in length Semi-private lessons are two children per instructor for one-half hour. Rates for Private/Semi-Private (2 children)

Child Member (child an active member at the time of the lesson):  $45.00/$65.00
Parent Member (parent an active member-child is not): $55.00/$75.00
Non-member (neither parent nor child is an active member): $70.00/$90.00

Swim Lesson Details

Class Size: 3 students maximum per class.

Our instructors have requested that well meaning parents please stay away from the area while the lesson is in progress. They have found that the students are much less distracted when their parents and siblings are out of sight.

Using the pool: All swim lesson participants that are not members are allowed to arrive at the pool 10 minutes before their lesson and allowed to stay 10 minutes after their lesson. If they would like to stay longer, they will be required to pay a guest fee. Parents/Guardians who bring their children to swim lessons and are not members are NOT allowed to use the pool while their children are in lessons. If they would like to do so, they are required to pay a guest fee PRIOR to using the pool. If not, they will be responsible for a $30.00 unregistered guest fee.

Locker Rooms: All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult while in the locker room. This means direct supervision. The locker rooms are a place of relaxation for our members. We need to respect this by being quiet and courteous to those sharing the facility. All children of the opposite sex over the age of 3 are not allowed in the locker room. Please utilize the bathroom in childcare in this case.

Cancellation Policy: A 50% cancellation fee will be charged if request is received less than 21 days prior to the start of your session. No refunds will be issued after 4:00 pm 14 days prior to your session. Also, once class begins you will be responsible for full payment despite your decision not to continue with the lesson based on your child’s reaction to the instructor, the water, the weather, child’s illness, etc. Participants may not make of classes which have been missed. If your child is sick the first few days, they are encouraged to take remaining days.

Late Policy: If you are late for a group lesson you will be able to join in when you arrive, however, the missed portion of the lesson will not be made up. If you are late to a private lesson your instructor will wait for 5 minutes. After that, your lesson will be forfeited and you will not be refunded.

Rain or Shine: Lessons will happen regardless of the weather. Lightening is the only condition, which will cancel class.

Submission of a swim lesson registration form acknowledges that you have read and understand this policy and all the details listed above and you will be responsible for payment in the case of cancellation.
