Triathlon Training

Training for a triathlon can be a daunting idea. This program is designed to help you get to the finish line with a smile on your face!

Monte Rio Triathlon
on Sunday, June 10th

Training starts Monday, April 2 at 5:30pm

Sprint Distances                            Olympic Distances

1/2 mile swim (750 meter)          (1.5k) .93 mile swim
13 mile bike (20k)                       (40k) 24.8 mile bike
3.1 mile run  (5k)                         (10k) 6.2 mile run

Coaches: Karen Chequer-Pfeiffer & Layne Scoggins

There are two coached workouts per week - Wednesdays and Saturdays

Monday at 5:30 pm - Swim conditioning/Run transition clinic with Coach Karen
Sunday at 7:00 am - bike session with Coach Layne

In general, most sessions run 60-90 minutes

Training program fee: $129 for members / $159 for non-members (does not include race registration fees)
